Cove Creek Gardens

Located at:
4505 Summit Ave
Greensboro, NC 27405
336-621-0611

As part of his summer of service program, JR SLICC, my son, Adam, volunteered at Cove Creek Gardens. He was immediately struck by how patient and kind both Nancy Cavanaugh and Julia Blizin (co-founders of the garden) are.  Before and after every session, Nancy greeted everyone with a warm hug, it instantly made Adam feel comfortable and at ease with her and the thought of doing gardening in the intense heat of the summer bearable.  I recommend that everyone that has an interest in the beauty of nature to stop in and visit this place.  You will never believe that this peaceful place sits amongst homes and businesses on a busy street like Summit.

"Cove Creek Gardens is a public teaching garden which promotes the art of horticulture and demonstrates the conservation of water and native plants while providing the public with opportunities for research, learning and interaction with the Natural World."
